1. RIPAC PRESS SUCCESS IN SEPTEMBER
- September was a GREAT month for the RI Medical Marijuana Program in regards to press coverage. On September 27th, the Providence Sunday Journal's top story, with a full color picture above the fold, was entitled "Growing Pains," and featured a MMJ patient and mentioned RIPAC. Click here to read the web version of the article. This is fantastic exposure that educates the general public about the MMJ Program.
- The Providence Journal had a total of 4 stories about the RI MMJ Program during the month of September. Read all of the by clicking here.
- The RI College weekly newspaper, The Anchor, featured a story about Doug Benson, a MMJ cardholder who was traveling to all 13 MMJ states in a very short time. Click here for the article. Doug was happy to accept a RIpatients.org sweatshirt and promised to wear it on his tour. Click here to order your own sweatshirt! Perfect for Autumn weather.
- Though there has been coverage of MMJ patients growing outside, it is not advised!
- Outdoor growing is not covered under the MMJ Act. (21-28.6-4. Protections for the medical use of marijuana)
- Your chances of robbery increase dramatically.
- Pollination may occur.
- Autumn is rainy, chilly and windy; perfect conditions for mold.
- Here is a collection of articles about mold and cannabis.
- Are you a newly licensed medical marijuana patient or caregiver? Are you looking for information about becoming a licensed patient or caregiver? Schedule a RIPAC Orientation.
- A RIPAC Patient Orientation is a one-on-one meeting with a RIPAC staff member or volunteer to explain the Medical Marijuana Act and answer questions. Patients get advice on choosing and interviewing caregivers. Contact RIPAC and request a Patient Orientation.
