1. MEDICAL MARIJUANA ACT TO EXPIRE
- In the coming month, the 2007 RI Medical Marijuana Act will be introduced in the General Assembly!
- The 2007 RI Medical Marijuana Act will include, among other reforms, the repeal of the "sunset clause" under which the current Medical Marijuana Act will expire in June 2007.
- RIPAC welcomes Senior Agenda Coalition's new endorsement of our mission to protect safe and legal access to medical marijuana!
- Senior Agenda Coalition includes: Alliance for Retired Americans, RI; Alzheimer's Association RI; Forum on Aging; Gray Panthers; Hope Alzheimer's Center; Providence Teachers Retirees Chapter; Rhodes to Independence; RI Federal Retirees; Senior Action in a Gay Environment; and Silver-Haired Legislature, RI, among others.
- On January 25, RIPAC staff gave a presentation to the Case Managers of AIDS Project RI about the science and legal status of medical marijuana.

- RIPAC is helping to organize a group of medical marijuana patients and caregivers to network, share information and stories, and provide mutual support--you are not alone!
